Eid ul-Fitr was originated by the Islamic prophet Muhammad. It is observed on the first of the month of Shawwal at the end of the month of Ramadan, during which Muslims undergo a period of absolute fasting.
Eid is also known as a day of Peace.
On this blessed day, we pray for the peace all around the world. May we learn to live in peace, together harmoniously, celebrating the unique diversity of our very existence.
