Our Approaches

Sustainable Solutions

Facilitating discussion and communication to come up with a community-led solution that is sustained through local leadership and changemakers.

WASH

Organising Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) training that covers aspects like water management, proper sanitation practices, and good hygiene habits.

Participatory Community Monitoring

Evaluating and monitoring the project together with our beneficiaries to instil ownership and ensure long-term commitment towards positive change.

“Clean water, essence of life and birthright for everyone, must become available to all people now.”

JEAN MICHEL COUSTEAU
What We Do

Technical Solutions

Collaborating with technical partners to plan and design a solution that is unique to the community’s needs. Some of the work we’ve done include building wells, dams, piping systems, water stations, and rainwater harvesting systems. The community is involved in all stages so that they have the knowledge needed to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot any problems that may arise in the future.

Lifestraw Technology by VESTERGAARD

  • Swiss-designed award-winning technology, approved by WHO
  • Uses hollow fibre microfiltration technology
  • Highly effective, removes 99.999% bacterias / viruses / protozoans
  • Removes dirt, mud, and suspended particles but retains essential minerals
  • Non-electric; built-in simple back-wash system for maintenance
  • Highly adopted by countries with water poverty – Africa, India, Indonesia, Cambodia etc.

WASH Training

WASH training is the educational component of our clean water initiative. In many of the villages we go to, a lack of awareness of hygiene and sanitation coupled with water issues have led to a cycle of disease, poverty, and hardship that repeats itself with each generation. With WASH, we aim to share the importance of how something as simple as drinking filtered water or washing hands with soap can make a difference in their lives.
