  • WATER AND SANITATION
Series 1 | Part 3: WaSH training and washrooms
In areas where water is limited, awareness and education on personal hygiene are essential.
Without basic knowledge of hygiene practices, preventable illnesses remain common, affecting health and daily life.
Simple practices, when understood and applied consistently, play a critical role in reducing these risks, especially in settings where water access is already constrained.
Alongside education, access to safe and functional washrooms is a necessary part of the solution. Hygiene practices cannot be sustained without appropriate infrastructure. Washrooms provide privacy, safety, and the conditions needed to maintain health and dignity, particularly for women and children.
This series examines how these challenges are addressed in practice, and how community-based solutions contribute to SDG 6 on clean water and sanitation, and SDG 3 on good health and well-being.
From the ground to the goals!

  • WATER AND SANITATION
Series 1 | Part 2: Access to drinking water
Even in the 2000s, access to clean drinking water remains out of reach for many Orang Asli communities.
For some households, the water source is located far from home. The distance, combined with limited supply, means families may not have enough water to meet daily needs.
When access to drinking water is uncertain, it affects the overall health, increasing vulnerability to preventable illness. Water, as the most basic requirement for life, cannot be taken for granted.
This series examines how these challenges are addressed in practice, and how community-based solutions contribute to SDG 6 on clean water and sanitation, and SDG 3 on good health and well-being.

  • WATER AND SANITATION
Series 1 | Part 1: Water source
We begin our impact review with water, a basic need that is not experienced equally!
In many of the communities we work with, access to clean water is not as simple as turning on a tap.
Some households must travel long distances each day to collect water, often from sources that remain vulnerable to contamination. This responsibility frequently falls on women and girls, who spend hours walking, and carrying water for daily use.
The effort is time-consuming and physically demanding, with lasting effects on health and well-being.
This is the reality behind the commitments to water and sanitation. It reflects the gap between access on paper and access on the ground, and it shapes how we design interventions that respond to real conditions rather than assumptions.
This series looks at how these challenges are addressed in practice, and how community-based solutions contribute to the goals set out under SDG 3 and SDG6.

  • We hope the 1st quater of the year offers you the space to reflect and move forward with intention!
and we would like to take this opprtunity to thank you! - (YES, YOU) who continues to stand with us and support the work we do on the ground.
Let’s make this year count and we look ahead to the year with renewed focus and shared purpose together!
Stay tuned for our 2016 - 2025 Impact Review!
#GlobalPeaceFoundationMalaysia
  • Our 2025 chapter ends here, but the story continues 🀍
What a year it’s been. A year shaped by real challenges and meaningful progress. Every step brought lessons, and every moment became part of a larger story we’re building together.
As we move into 2026, we remain committed to building alongside our Orang Asli communities, growing, and showing up where it matters.
Thank you to everyone who walked with us, in big and small ways.
Let’s build from here.
Building resilient communities, one village at a time 🀍
#GlobalPeaceFoundationMalaysia
  • Special shout out to our UNITEN volunteers who spent the day on the ground with us learning and practising syntropic farming!
The focus was on hands-on work and understanding how land can be cared for sustainably through proper preparation, pruning, and mulching, and we completed 2 lines and planted 100 forest trees!
The day also created space to build sustainability awareness, seeing how thoughtful land management today supports ecosystems and food systems.
When learning is paired with real work on the land, the lessons stay!
With the theme Hijaukan Bumi, Cerdaskan Generasi, the activities naturally brought the village together through shared learning and fun!
To many more events that promote regenerative farming in the future πŸ’š

WATER AND SANITATION

WATER AND SANITATION

Our 2025 chapter ends here, but the story continues 🀍 What a year it’s been. Building resilient communities, one village at a time 🀍 #GlobalPeaceFoundationMalaysia

Special shout out to our UNITEN volunteers who spent the day on the ground with us learning and practising syntropic farming!
