Hannah A. Amarasuriya

Field Officer

Biography

I have been involved in mission/volunteer work from the ripe age of 11 and my passion for people drove me to pursue my Master in Communication for Social Change from the University of Queensland upon the completion of my BA in Mass Communication at Help CAT. I am a go-getter in life and see failure as an opportunity to keep on pursuing one’s passion. Continuously seeking and taking opportunities that allows me to contribute and be a part of the social and community development of the underserved communities.

I aspire to help develop and implement programs that will help bridge the gap between our communities and open doors of endless opportunities for a better livelihood for the underserved communities. For they deserve the rights to every basic human needs as much as we do.

Life Quote: “At the end of the day, it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished. It’s about what you’ve done with those accomplishments. It’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.” – Denzel Washington

Fun Fact: Avid baker as I find it therapeutic (I’d like to think I make some of the best salted choc chip cookies =P) and I’m a thrill seeker. Where is the fun in life without some adrenaline rush.
