“Moral and Innovative Leadership: Vision, Service and Entrepreneurship”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., led a movement that had sustained and universal impact. His words and actions not only displayed a consummate ability to articulate a vision of a more moral nation but the innovative skills to build the kind of leadership that could forge that change. The anniversary of one of his greatest speeches will provide participants the opportunity not simply to commemorate his words but to learn the leadership skills which he exemplified. This premier leadership development program will bring together outstanding student and young professional leaders from around the world to learn critical leadership skills and work together to make positive impact in a global context.

August 20 (Tuesday): Arrival New York and Orientation
August 21 (Wednesday):New York City Cultural Expedition (World Trade Center & 9/11 Memorial, New York Stock Exchange, Statue of Liberty, Columbia University, Times Square, etc.)
August 22 (Thursday): International Young Leaders Assembly at United Nations
- · 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM International Young Leaders Assembly at UN High Level Plenary
- · 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM International Young Leaders Assembly at UN Practicum
- · 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM Lunch
- · 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Tour the United Nations Headquarters
To support Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon’s five-year agenda on youth, especially on reducing poverty and unemployment through entrepreneurship and service. The program will be hosted at the United Nations Headquarters, sponsored by the permanent mission of Paraguay and co-sponsored by permanent missions of other participating nations.

- ·10:00 AM – 12:00 PM International Young Leaders Assembly at Independence Hall Philadelphia “American Vision and American Values” (location of the signing of the Declaration of Independence which was a source of inspiration and legal justification for Dr. King’s work.)

August 24 (Saturday): Beach Excursion at Assateague Island (with famous wild ponies) and Outlet Shopping on the way to DC.
