Five leadership workshops embedded in the program to unleash your potentials; various leadership challenge and role play during the community engagement and nature expedition.


Interact and engage with local communities at Dhading and Pokhara. Discover the culture and history of Nepal, and challenges faced by the people after the 2015 earthquakes.


Four days of trekking in the cascades of Poon Hill – while enjoying the spectacular scenery, you get to lead and develop an intimate team. There will be time for quiet self-reflection and experience sharing.


Day 1

Arrival at Kathmandu, Welcome Reception and Orientation.

Forming the capital city of the Republic of Nepal, Kathmandu is  known as the largest Himalayan state in Asia and the largest metropolis in Nepal. Check-in and freshen up for an informative and fun orientation session with  delegates from various countries whom you would be spending an adventurous 8 days with as one family!

Day 2 

Youth Forum on Sustainable Development Goals • Leadership Workshop

In line with the United Nation’s 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, you will take active part in the SDG panel discussion to realise these goals for you are the actives drivers of change in the local community and the world.

The Global Peace Leadership workshop taps into quintessential frameworks to global leadership through hands on activities that will unleash your individual strengths, purpose and empathy that builds self worth and social skills.

Day 3

Cultural Expedition in Kathmandu. Travel to Dhading.

Kathmandu, Nepal – A riot of sights, sound and smell!

Immerse yourself in culture as you visit the stunning attractions listed as  UNESCO  World Heritage Sites such Pashupatinath Temple,Durbar Square and the enchanting Swayambhunath Stupa.During night time, camp under the stars as you experience the feeling of staying in a tent as the locals had to during the Dhading earthquake. An activity focused on sharing will also take place in the evening.

Day 4

Dhading Post-Earthquake Community Visit. Water Rafting at Trishuli. Travel to Pokhara.

As part of the  holistic and experiential learning that GYPE offers, you will be part of   community visits in order to develop leaders who are conscious of global issues such as the the devastating  Earthquake in Nepal. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to interact with the affected families and understand the lifestyle and living conditions of these families who are still living  in the aftermath of a natural disaster. You will then partake in an exhilarating water rafting experience that would put their team working and leadership capabilities the test.

Day 5

Pokhara • Team-building and half day hiking from Tirkhe Dunga to Ulleri.

“To Adventure is to Find Yourself Whole”!  Breathe in the fresh mountain air  as they explore the spectacles of Nepal’s outdoors through trekking activities – a profound self discovery journey that is sure to be unforgettable!

Kick start your trekking journey with team-building, essential to a meaningful journey where mutual support and interactions take place.Through the course of this trekking journey, you will get to witness the beautiful sunset at Tirkhe Dunga, meet friendly  locals along the way and learn about their communities.

Day 6

Trekking from Ulleri to Ghorepani. Leadership Workshop.

Prepare yourselves for another exciting trekking adventure from Ulleri to Ghorepani as these places form the perfect setting for an activity sure to  test your endurance and team spirit, relax the mind and realise the significance of  safeguarding the wonders of Mother Nature.After your  adventure, participate in a leadership workshop for a thought provoking session.

Day 7

Sunrise watch at Poon Hill. Trekking from Poon Hill – Ghorepani – Tadapani.

Bask in the mesmerising early Sunrise at Poon Hill- a breathtaking view! The climb is a challenging one  but with the promise of a remarkable awe-strucking  reward once at the top.  You  will also get the chance to experience the art of yoga ( a practice popular among Nepalis)   and several outdoor activities at Poon Hill catered to boost energy and offer some FUN in the SUN!  In the evening, activities of reflection will take place followed by a BBQ dinner, and the highlight of the night- Firefly Watch! .

Day 8

Travel from Tadapani to Pokhara. Personal reflection. Farewell dinner. 

As the experience in Nepal draws to end, the programme  emphasises on the powerful act of reflection and sharing of take-aways. Right after the graduation ceremony, you will be treated to a farewell dinner to celebrate your graduation as GPYE Alumni!.

Day 9

Return from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

 Return to Kathmandu by bus and catch your flight home in the evening.

Anyone between 18 – 35 years old can apply, we will review your application and inform you within a few days. If you are below 18 or above 35 and are very eager to join GPYE, you may still apply and tell us why joining GPYE means something to you.

The outdoor activities are designed for people with average fitness. If you are worried about your physical fitness, do let us know what you can and cannot do and we will advise you if this is suitable for you. We have had a delegate (over 95 kg weight) who thought he won’t make it and through the team support he made it and that totally changed what he think about himself.

Once you applied online, we will get back to you in 3-5 days if your application is accepted. The payment details will then be sent to you.

The fee covers lodgings, meals and domestic transport throughout the program. The program start with dinner on April 19 and end with lunch on April 28. Not included in the fee are your flight ticket and airport transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu.
